Adding screen
« on: October 16, 2009, 02:28:12 PM »
To facilitate my work,I added two new screens to my own Mach3 screenset.
The first screen allows me to even(leveling) a board using the probe. The probe tap  three points previously chosen. The difference of level between the three points is recorded and displayed on the screen allowing repositioning of the board. The first point will be automatically set as zero-tool. The choice of three points can be made by the distance between them or by coordinates previously defined in the drawing. See picture below Nivelar_1 or a video on

The second screen allows me to align a side of a board for X or Y. The probe tap two points previously selected in a given axis, records the difference between them and displays the results on the screen, allowing repositioning the part.
The first point to be taped will be automatically registered as zero-tool in that axis.
This procedure when carried out in both axes (X, Y) defines the point (0,0) in a corner, depending on the chosen quadrant.
The points are defined by distance between them, or by coordinates and the choice of the quadrant area of work.

This is really neat!  Very nice setup.  I am wanting to make a touch screen pendant that I can do things like this but really don't know where to start.
