Mach3 simulation
« on: May 19, 2009, 03:09:08 PM »
Hello

If I install the Mach3 on my home PC, without the router or BOB, will it work? I just want to play with screens.

Will it be possible to run a program without BOB and a router?

yes.  i test all my programs and screens on my pc inside before i transfer outside to my mill pc.

not having your motor tuning etc setup properly will give your innacurate estimated runtimes and simulation speeds.and so forth, i would find someone running the same hardware as yourself with the same controller and use his xml file in your install.

I test clients files (and mine) like this when they crash their hardware. easier to see visually where something is going wrong that to pour through 100 000 lines of code.

Thanks

I have 2 machines in the basement and I live in an apartment on 4th floor - without elevator :-).  So I just need to copy the XML file. Thanks

How about the printerport at home - I dont have one - just USB. Will it still work?

You dont need a printer port for simulation.
