I have an 8 amp 80v stepper driver, can I run to 4amp step motors on the same axes? or do I need two drivers

Hi, Spatch

I've seen it done a couple of time's, If it's on a common shaft alignment is critical, It it's on separate shaft's like a dual gantry type install it pretty much a homing issue of needing to home to a hard Stop. As far as I know most would not recommend it as a common practice.

Mariss from geckdrive has said in the past that it works OK at lower rpm, but not so well above 300-500rpm.
