Which vertion of Artcam are you using?
Here you can see that Artcam 8.1 has a post processor for Mach 2 that will work as well with Mach 3.

442  Mach Discussion / Mach Screens / Re: Any version after 1.90.026 the screen won't auto enlarge both ways?? on: June 02, 2006, 02:41:37 AM
Very cool screen!
Darc,
Your screen stretches to fit in the last version of Mach 3 but not in the newest version?

Double check to see if there are any hidden buttons any where.

Thank you for the encouragement and feedback. I hope that very soon I'll have these gauges up and running.

Wayne,
That's a great idea!!!
Recreate "Real World" machine interface layout for Mach 3/4.
If someone was trained using a Hass, Bridgeport, Heidenhain and Mazatrol they would have the same interface when using Mach 3. I like the way you think Cool

When Art comes out with the new -Mach 4 Developers Edition Extreme-(good name for it Grin), I hope to create interfaces that look and feel like real world interfaces(with added bonuses).

I run a cnc machine daily and have been around machines since I was a kid, sweeping up the metal shavings at my fathers work. I'll continue to fumble around with new ideas to make the CNC machining environment safer and more user friendly. I might stumble onto some good idea's along the way Smiley

Very functional! I like the added touch of sparkles on the Drod's.
One thing I came across is the "Load last wizard", it will open to a blank screen if you hadn't loaded a wizard, but I believe this is a Mach 3 problem

Very cool!!,
Benny could you post these topic's on the Screen forum, I keep missing out on all this information! I mostly look at the screen forum and rarely come to the General topic's.
Can't wait to see your screens that incorporate these new functions Grin

Donn,
I have a working version, the current version that is available for downloading is not working properly.
Benny please verify, because the available Screen for download is not working.

Donn I attached a working version for you.

Benny,
I thought it might be nice to look at a pretty women while I worked and her eyes get red if I make a mistake Grin
I used Poser and a picture of my wife for the E-stop model, I also have used this same model for a custom guitars design.

The "E-Stop Head" will not be in the final Screen, thought it intresting to give idea's to other screen desighners Grin

The "Panels" folder should be in "Bitmaps" and the "Panels Beta.set" should be in "Mach 3" folder.

Inside of the "Panels" folder should only have one "Leds's" folder and 8 PNG's.
If it doesn't work I'll check it out.Let me know Grin

449  Mach Discussion / Works in progress / Beta -Panel- screenset on: May 21, 2006, 11:11:09 PM
This screen set incorporates an idea I had while working on a project. It is not fully functional

What I found is that my brain, no matter how many times I use Mach 3 just can't handle seeing everthing at once. My eye's start bugging out of my head when switch from one page to another. What I figured is that my eyes's and head want to process everthing on the screen at once, I find my self looking for a button I routinely use everday. Embarrassed

So what I thought would be of use is to use containers and panel's.
Thought I'd share this so others can use the idea.
One thing to metion is that it is a complex task to set up page for all of the diffrent variable possibilities of open/closed panels, but I believe this is a good consept that would benefit many. I believe that I'll be able to fit all of Mach 3 controlls on two pages without looking cluttered.

This is a test screen and as of now can only:

G-Code Load/Close/Edit/Start/Stop/Pause/Play/Hold

On Line/OffLine (Power amp LED)

E-Stop (Womens Head)

Simulate is a panel

MDI is a panel

*Place the Panels folder into Mach 3\Bitmaps

Here is a "Feed Rate" gauge.

I believe this could be usefull if I can get the needle to rotate to a spindle speed or Feed speed. Any idea's, maybe for Artsoft's future projects. Grin
