Hi!

PoKeys can do what you want.
However, you can use only 1 PoKeys for all these.
- use matrix keyboard
- for outputs use PoExtBus devices: http://www.poscope.com/products.php?cid=7
43  Third party software and hardware support forums. / PoKeys / New PoKeys56E released (Ethernet, UDP, Modbus) on: March 08, 2011, 03:02:08 PM
There is always something cooking in PoLabs development department and more than these is cooking Wink

We are proud to present new PoKeys56E. Yes it is Ethernet (UDP and Modbus) and yes performances are improved again. Candies like reading I2C and 1 wire sensors, ultra fast encoder, ExtBus on aditional connector and more are added. http://www.poscope.com/product.php?pid=27

Software, user manual and protocol specs are updated for whole PoKeys family.

Plugin for Mach should follow, but you can use it also with Mach Modbus support directly.

regards

Boris

You are correct. I did not counted avaiable pins however, but PP is very limited with IOs.

What is better is hard to answer. You can connect it in both ways and both ways will work reliable.
PoKeys will give you a lot of aditional options as I writed before.

Hi!

As we know there are no open issues with Mach and PoKeys. They works stable and reliable. Second serial port may be option, but with PoKeys you will get much more. E.g. a lot of aditional keys, LCD, lot of outputs etc. If you need aditional relays consider also PoExtBusRe. You can add up to 80 relays using only 3 pins on PoKeys.

Every post you are writing, you are describing different problem.
Please take a breath and compile all in one post. Add some printscreen. To which shortcut is changing?
Be sure that you have downloaded latest version of software from www.poscope.com

If "something" is changing your desktop shortcut, you should find what "something" is and kill it.
PoKeys software or hardware cannot change desktop shortcut.

Hi!

Use resistor 330 to 670 ohm and connect it inseries with LED.
After that with PK vonfiguration software configure that pin as output. You can switch on and off in PoKeys configuration software.
Also you have some examples and descriprion in user manual and on www.poscope.com how to do these with your own software.
