Guys,
just bought a large turretmill (5hp) that is equiped with an anilam 1100m controll
and servo,s. its a 1996 machine.
althought the anilam works perfectly and the drives are good ect, I am used to using mach3
so I would like to link mach3 to the drives and remove the anilam controll do I need those pixies?
Any advice positive or negative would be appreciated.

Probably, only problem is I think pixies are no longer made :(
There is a slim chance that your drives can take step/dir, do you know the type and model of them?

BTW Rutex do a Ste/Dir to Analogue converter, no experience of it but it might be worth a look if your drives are not capable of Step/Dir.
The Rutex number is R991H

Hi, Tony
Converted a Anilam 1000 awhile back, Used Gecko's, New transformer down to 80 volts, With the encoders feedback on the Table it's a little nervous, But works well. Lost a little top speed with the 100 v to 80 v though
Pixies may be hard to get now, Have used Rutex in the past, may be hard to get also, There other +- 10 volt boards out there, Hopefully others will comment on them.
Hope this Helps, Chip
