Hi Ali,

While running code or jogging the motors speed up if I move my mouse then slow back down whem I stop moving it. Mouse and keybd are ps2. Computer is a clean install of win xp pro and mach3. All inputs and outputs in mach3 have been turned off except the motor step and dir outputs. I have no limit or home switches fitted. Why is this happening and what can I do please?

Regards

Julian.

Julian,
Quit playing with your mouse when running a program.
Just for kicks, run the driver test, play with the mouse, notice the
spikes you get. All those spikes are interuptions to the computer processing.
Don't think you can do anything about it. Not as noticeable on a fast pc.

So 2ghz with  2gb of ram is not fast enough. Point is the motors move at their best and correct speed when the mouse moves not when it is still. I've got a mouse because there are no cheap touch-screens available. Should not happen as it shows a conflict so somethimg wrong. It only does it on Mach not anything else. If you need to do anything like click one of the buttons on mach it is not good as it keeps speeding up. There must be an answer somewhere.

Hi, Julian

On the Diagnostic screen, Is the Pulse Frequency value Locked in as in the pic. below or dose it change value with mouse movment. ?

If the value isen't locked in at a value close to your set kernil speed you need to revue and optimize Window's some.

Located hear  http://www.machsupport.com/downloads.php  Bottom of Page.

Thanks, Chip
