I am having problems with screen4. It locks up and/or takes minutes to respond when I click on the main menu’s [file, edit, view, defaults, help]. Also some other weird things have happened [most likely user error] like saving a file and reopening it to find everything has shifted over by 800 pixels!

Is anyone else finding these problems? How can I fix it?

That doesn't sound right at all (of course you already know that).

While it's not a "perfect" piece of software, what you're experiencing sounds like a bad install.

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing?

Thanks Dave,
I have installed it over 4 times now.
The original screen editor seems to work fine but I cant save as a  “set file”.

When I download screen4 from the mach website, would it make any difference if I turn off the firewall and spy ware on my computer? Can that mess with the file being downloaded?

it sounds like you are running it on VIsta...it is not supported for Vista  Roll Eyes

Either that or make sure you have targeted the "Mach Location" correctly: Default/Mach Location

Hmmm.... are you indeed running Vista as mentioned above? If not, what OS are you using?

As for firewall interupting your download, I would think if the file got corrupt during download, it would show immediately while installing.

Thanks Dave and Jason for solving my problem.

I am running Vista. Guess I will just have to put up with it. It still kind of works just not very well.

Cheers,

Alex
