I have a Homing routine I need some help with.

I want to initiate a Home routine that sends the table(tool) to the axis limit switch (not Home switch) then reverse direction and come off the switch, then HOME(ref) off the first instance of the Index or Marker pulse from the Encoder. This will assure the table returns to a previous Home within .0001".

How or If?

Thanx

We worked this out on the Mach yahoo forum, might want to do a search over there.

This is done easily with a 7474 trigger IC, 2 are needed for a 4 axis system,

The thread starts at Message #104328.

I'm really interested in this too. My current CNC has steppers with unused encoders so plugging them in would be fairly easy. My planned upgrade in the summer is DC servo's so the positional home would be an added bonus.
