Been working on this CNC mill project for some time now, like 2 years off and on.
I have started to put all of the documents for this project on a web site for anyone to see.

Duke...
Very Nice!  And your PDF file for the handwheel explains it clearly!

Thanks,

Hello Duke,

That is one fine machine you have made! Fantastic job! You should be real proud.

Can you show some pics of it in action? What will you use it for mostly?

I've buit a CNC machine in the past and building a "special" now, even made some zero backlash ball screws, but yours is a real inspiration to pay more attention to detail!

Thanks for sharing it.

Richard.

Hi Richard,

I have posted a short video clip on my web site, its not cutting anything but you can see it in motion.
Rapids are at 250 IPM, feeds are at 100 IPM and the spindle is running at 8000 RPMs.

Extremely professional workmanship and attention to detail Duke. The machine and your website are a credit to your skills.
I look forward to seeing pics of some of the things you make with the mill.

I agree, Tweakie. It was very nice of him to share his design work, too. Looks like he has many many hours invested. It's been almost 2 years since he posted, I bet hes not even close to wearing that solid machine out.
