I think the reason for few comments is because the link is to an external page and not within this thread. When people click on your link they forget to come back here to make a comment.
Looks good though

Thank you. I thought that might happen.
I tested the y axis last week and had it running up to 1500 IPM with that 300lb beam on it! The ball nuts themselves seem to have about .001 - .0015 of backlash which i wasn't at all pleased with but will be ok for my application. In case anyone was wondering the gantry is stiff enough to push on one side and the other side will move with it without binding and even with the ball nuts attached.

I was given this obsoleted control and was curious if it could be salvaged by using modbus or a keygrabber device. Also the new computer doesn't have a parallel port and need some information on how to interface via a usb port.
Thank you

here's a few more pictures of the frame with some braces welded in and primed, chuck for spindle, Pulleys and start of the spindle assembly. Chuck is balanced for 16,000 rpm and at 299.00 dollars it better hold my tooling!
Spindle will be powered by a lesson 5 hp 3450 motor to start with. The bed of this machine is adjustable in height and z should have 19" of travel after limits are set. Overall Dimensions are 66" x 138" x 72" without the servos. That's the progress so far and i can't wait to put a video here for you guys to see.

I really like that pendant, are you able to make something like that work with Mach?

If you can dream it up, it can work with Mach.

No, there are tons of different ones out there. If you want one just like his, google Fadal. They are a machine manufacturer. They may sell you one, I don't know. You can get your on components and build a custom to suit your needs. Browse through the links section and look under electronics.
