Lines joined with arcs cause problems - turbocad
«

I drew the following drawing using turbocad. Save as dxf then onto LCam. LCam generates more than the six chains. According to Scott the problem is in the dxf.
What the heck is going on?

Hello Stan,
I opened your file in AutoSketch9, grouped the entities and got the following in LCam.
6 chains.

The .dxf looks fine to me. When I open it in AutoCAD, it's 6 polylines. Perhaps LazyCAM is not reading it correctly?

Hi, Stan
Your dxf has allot of extra items in it, Copy the item you want to use, Then open a new drawing and past it there, Then use it in LCam.

Hi, Davy182
In the case above the original dxf had allot of extra trash in the drawing (pic 1), Copying and pasting only the wanted item Pic2 to a new cad/dxf drawing file.
It's just starting with a clean drawing leaving the trash behind, Sometimes deleting un wanted items doesn't really delete them properly.
Hope this Helps, Chip
