I put this machine together to satisfy the desire of accuracy, flexibilty, minimize space, and maximize what could be mounted to it.
It sits on a movable 18" x 30" cart. Machine envelope is 2'w x 19"d x 24" high with tables drawn in.
on this machine.
- TABLE TO SPINDLE: 12" max
- COLUMN TO SPINDLE: 12 1/4" max
- Z SCREW TRAVEL: 3 1/4"   SPEED: 30" / MIN
- Z MOVEMENT ALONG Y AXIS: 8"
- TABLES: (2) NEWPORT MTM150PP.1 STACKED ( 6"  X & Y TRAVEL)  SPEED: 10"/MIN MAX
- SPINDLES: One shown is a modified handle run by variable speed flex shaft, others include 45,000 & 60,000 rpm air similar in mounting.
The Klinger rotary table which is kind of big is shown on the one picture showing advantage of the clearances for use of bigger holding devices.
