Greetings,

Well don't ask me why because neither myself or Mr Bean have a Lathe equipped for cnc control although he does have a Lathe dating back to the 17th Centuary that he's quite proud off.

But as we are gluttons for punishment and quite enjoy our late night sessions abusing each other on MSN we have almost completed the lathe screen. Same comments as the MachBlue screens really. We are not reinventing the wheel, the layout and functions will be close to the original set with some minor tweaks.

It was hard to get Beano motivated this time..... I think he's took the hump as no one likes his 'preferred' colour scheme Smiley

Anyway It's almost complete but just going through a few final checks. Can some kind soul please post a G-Code example of some Lathe code for us to try......

As usual first release will be SilverBlue then the Darker Blue set....Then Who knows...... Grin

I think the front screen shows how Beano feels on this set..... (His abusive graphic to me will be removed when released) Smiley

Manual screenshot posted.....

Cheers.

Santini has ben cracking the whip again.  Like he said neither of us have CNC lathes, but this gives us something to do.
My "17th" centuary lathe, made from straw, branches and dried cow-pat, is not quite up to a CNC retro fit.

Here's a few more screenshots.

We're not familiar with using the lathe module, so if anyone notices any blunders let us know.
Thanks.

Wow, very nice, very glad you guys could do this, even though you don't have lathes yourselves, thank you very much!

Looking good so far,  don't forget most lathes are programmed in diameter mode.

Another winner in the making I think.

Graham.

Okay.. I'll show my ignorance.

How would you switch between Rad and Dia mode.
Is there a button, or a config setting, or something?

I thought the "Radius Mode" text was just a fixed label?

Thanks for any help.

BTW.  The "Santini & MrBean" avatars you see on the screenshots will be removed before the screenset is released.

Hi Mr Bean,
In the configs/turn options there is an option for radius or diameter mode...

Is this what you are looking for?

From the standpoint of using a touchscree, I would like to see a large "FEED HOLD" button somewhat clear of all others.
Nice screen.
