Dim Val
Val = GetOemDro(83)
Call SetOemDro(150,Val)

This gets the current X position and writes it to softlimit Max X but the program dosen't recognize it until I click Config/Homming/limits. I thought the softlimits toggle would cause the program to look there for new info.

I also tried to use OEM 340 & 341 (Temp set softlimits min and max) and nothing happens. I see no change in the config/homming/limits table. I've read all the Wiki stuff and don't see any command to update the system, I don't know what else to try. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Ben, I don't think you will be able to do this. Obvioulsy you can get and update the values, but it is a setting, kinda like motor tuning, it isn't meant to be changed on the fly. Seems like I saw a post from you about the config. changing often. I think you may want to look at having specific profiles set up. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you.

Brett, Thanks for the reply. I think you must be right so I'll just move on to another project. Thanks again. Ben

No problem Ben. I see one of the Gurus looking at the thread now, maybe he can confirm this for us.

This is my screen for setting softlimits To use this I move the work to the area where there is an  interference and click the appropriate set button. . The only drawback is you have to click Config/homing/softlimits and OK, but no data entry into the table is necessary, to have them take affect. Since I have a lathe/mill combo and sometimes the lathe chuck or the tailstock is on and my movement is restricted so I needed a easy way to change limits.
