IŽve been away from this forum awhile, and are wondering if Quantum is the new Mach4, or another program?

Is i working as a standalone and ready for testing?

Best reg

Hi Corey,
Mach 4 is no more. It has been replaced with Mach three with the G100 plug in. Quantum is running and is Beta. It is ready for testing. It has been spelled out plainly that any support given at this point is a given. Forum members, Art and Brian have been giving support but it is a gift right now, no one is obligated to give support. They can only do so much at a time and have been working like crazy on lots of projects. Lots of folks are braging about the sucess they are having with it. Give it a try and report your findings if you would like. But understand that it is on the bleeding edge. I have ran it on my mill and the motion was very smooth and I could set my accel much higher.

Hope this helps,

Brett.

Thanx Brett

I saw Arts newest video on it and i Love the "anti" jerk function, it will most likely be good for me when my newest mill is finished.

The gantry will be well over 100lbs since it is only supported on one side....cantilevered or spelled something like this?

Dont know the word since i live in europe.

IŽll run servos on it, and this function will hopefully make my machine frame stay put and not run through my shop wall:)

Any news about Quantum? Any chance for next step in development of it in the near future?

Thank you,

Zoltan
