Hi,  You might want to check out my website which shows my Bridgeport type mill retrofitted with an off the shelf Servo system and using Artsoft's Mach 3.    It has been very cool to hit the wall switch and have everything come to life, the PC, the monitor, the digital readout etc.  Very quiet and accurate also!
