can anyone tall me does mach3 home to one axis at a time when you click on home button as have a g540 that has 4 inputs and what to have home switch, softlimits and a probe

Mach by default homes one axis at a time, if you have seperate home switches for each axis you could home all at the same time or any combination of axis at the same time.
Normally however people just connect their homes in series and just use one input for them, in fact most have the limit switches set to be also home switches.
