Hello,
I am new to Mach3 and also to working with CNC software. My company owns a foam cutting machine that has 4 axis motors attached to a Xylotex drive box via windows machine using the parallel port. I have installed Mach3 and tested the port, all good. We need to make simple cuts in foam on our machine. We need the two vertical motors to move together, and the two horizontal motors to move together. So unit has two for each and a hot wire connected between the two upright (vertical) post. I have communicated with support from Xylotex, and he suggested I try here for software support. The drive box has wires going to each motor.
Here is my problem; He gave me some data I would need to input into the software so it would communicate with drive box. WHERE do I input this?? The info he sent me was STEP and DIR X,Y,Z,A, #'s.  When I tab to the Jogging "flyout" screen and try hitting the XYZ buttons nothing happens. The motors do nothing. I should note that my company has had this system working before. The person using the machine has left and we had a hard drive crash, so I am trying to recreate it. So please any help is appreciated!! I have read the "Mach3 Install-config pdf , and still stuck.
Thanks,
  Kevin

Thanks for the input ger21, I got the jog function to work now by holding shift and pressing the x,y,z,4 buttons. Still need to know how to make the two motors for each side move in tandum. However the need for this machine to run and function properly has moved up to urgent here. Does anyone live near St. Louis and would want to make some extra cash helping set up our system?? Just need about a half day of some ones expertise in getting it running.

Config > Slave Axis

Make sure all settings for the slave axis match the master's settings.
