Ho to all

I buy a step motor(4 wire) i connect the step motor to step driver and then i connect the step driver to interface and i connect the interface to mach3 with LPT port. i use 5 Volt for interface and 12 volt for my step driver. I use a computer power for (5and12 volt).

I don't know why i can't have any motion in step motor. I setup port 2 and 3 for x axis . when i select +X and -X bottom in the mach3 the second interface lamp will on and off so i think the wire is true but i don't have motion in step motor.
The pules interface lamp doesn't have on and off

I test the motor and driver with a PLC and it is true so the motor and step motor is true but i think the interface or LPT cable have a problem what do you think?

I test the driver with driver test option in mach3 software and it told that the driver is good.

What is the problem?

If you are setting Port as 2 and 3 in motor config page then that will not work. Maybe however you are meaning Pin?

If you attach your xml I will have a look at your config.

Hi Dear hood
Thank you for your fast reply.

No, for x axis the interface pin is 2 for pulse and 3 for direction and i connect the wire with these pins, when i select +x and -x button in mach3 the led of pin3 ,turn on and off and the led of palse(pin2) show turn on very low not like the led of direction(pin3).
what is the problem? why we don't have motion?

I am meaning the pulse width, in the screenshot above the pulse width is set to 0, you will possibly need a wider pulse, see screenshot attached .
The LED on the Step output will not be bright as its a pulse you are sending out.
Have you got the steps per unit set correctly for your motors/drives

You will need to know the microstepping of your drive. For example if you have 10 microstep drive then the steps per motor rev would be 200 x 10 = 2000. You would then need to work out the distance that moves the axis, say you have a 5mm pitch screw then 2000 pulses would move 5mm so 400 pulses would be the steps per unit.

Are you getting any noise or motion at all from the stepper?
Can you attach your xml please.
