Yes, at least it does here!!

Will even work with Win 7 64 bit, I've heard but not experienced, where PP will NOT.

Yes the SS works perfectly with both the 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows 7. I have many customers using them together quite successfully. I also use Win7-64 here in the shop.

One more question -- will SS AND WIN7 WORK ON A LAP-TOP??  OR EVEN A TABLET??

aM WORKING ON A COMERCIAL MACHINE WITH 2 SERVOS

A laptop will likely be fine if you shut off all the power savings features. A tablet however would probably not be suitable for running Mach, most of them are built with slower processors to save power.
