Mach3Mill on Windows 7
«
on:

I have a MAXNC 15 connected through a dual parallel port to a Windows 7 PC. Every time I try to turn the machine on, the z-axis motor starts immediately without cause (without opening the software Mach3Mill); so trying to load any g-code is impossible.
After running the memoryoverride.reg and running DriverTest, nothings changed.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm going to say it sounds like you need to check your wiring. Do you have any signal lines running over or close to power?

All the wiring are connected correctly. The main reason seems to be the compatability with Mach 3 and windows 7 seeing as the Mach 3 requires windows XP service pack 2. However, I've used an older version of Mach 3 and I've had better process than the most recent version, Mach3 R3.043.022. The only problem with the old version was of the 3 axis, 1 axis was always non-functional. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have Run as Admin checked for Mach3.
If its doing it without Mach3 even being used then I cant imagine its the problem, but, doesn't mean it isn't either.
Is the axis starting when you disable the physical E-STOP on the machine?
