OT -question about sending circuit boards from the US to Europe?

I have some of the old circuit boards out of my Hurco CNC that someone in Wymondham, Norfolk is interested in.

The price with insurance & shipping will total around $950  US dollars.

Can some of you  from Europe tell me a little about the duty fees, VAT, etc?

Any guess to how much it will be?

Is there a cheaper way to ship, or declare it tax free?

As are all Governments worldwide the UK one is broke so they are grabbing as much as they can. You will not be able to get much past them even if you say its an engineering sample you will still get taxed on the value it is stated to be, I was just recently. Only way to avoid this is say the value is £20 or under and risk it.
There will be a customs inspection charge of £12 to £15 depending on the carrier, there will be 20% added to the value stated for VAT and if they are feeling nasty they may slap import duty on it although I have only had that once.
