Limit switches and reversal of Axis

When limit switches are triggered Axis changes direction---also keyboard short cut keys reverse and controls button flyout Jog buttons reverse on many instances.  When trying to jog off limits it moves about 1/2 inch stops, get Limit switch trigger message then try to jog off again and get reversed direction. What setting is causing this crazy problem?  Also how can I save all of my settings from one day to the next without leaving my system on 24 hours a day?  Can MACH 3 be changed or modified to insure that all the last previous setting will be the  default or current setting when opening the application?

Settings should not change like that, seems there may be a problem with your xml, can you attach it and I will have a look and see if the issue can be found.

Im in the process of cleaning off M3 and doing a clean install and if i have further issues I'll be back in touch.
