I have a Galil 1740 isa card running with Mach3.  I am getting an error that the motor is not on when I try to use either Mach3 or the Galil WSDK.  I am a total newbie and know the unit was working when I bought it.  It's using an Octagon Systems controller with SEM servo motors and encoders.  Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

You should be able to diagnose it in WSDK or Terminal.
The TS command Tell Switches not only shows Fwd/rev limit status but also error, motion and motor status.
Some reasons are MO or issue a SH to turn the motors on.

I'll check that, but for some reason, wsdk thinks the motors are off--they're not, I turned them on in Mach3 with the reset and you can hear them humming.  By the way, the x axis slowly turns all the time even when not jogging or running g codes.
Thanks

That is a sign that the Galil does not have control of the drive.

I did a system reset and now there seems to be some control restored.  It still doesn't perform as required however.  I would like to find someone in the area who could look at it for me and suggest a remedy.
