Hello Everyone,

I just got at DC-03 DigiSpeed GX V3 to control my chinese C02 laser. I want to use Mach 3 or EMC2.

Has anybody gotten it running? What is the wiring diagram? Which pins do you use on the parallel port?

Here's a picture of it: http://mambohead.com/2011/07/laser-controller-design/

I will get through it eventually but if someone already has it working perhaps they could share what they did?

Thanks in advance!

Darcy,

This is a pretty old thread but it is straightforward enough to connect the analog 0-5Volts to the laser PSU and it is again straightforward to setup the spindle control within Mach to output the PWM (do a search for PWM and you will find the details). This works just fine for vector cutting but if you decide to do raster work using the Impact/Laser Engraver plugin it all goes pear shaped.
There are more details in these threads (if you have a bit of time to spare  Cheesy );

Hope this helps,
