" using mach3turn"-cant get jog to respond
«
on:

Hello all - I am a newbie and have just connected 3 stepper motors to the driver prior to putting the steppers
on to a desktop lathe.
I an working thru the manual called using mack3turn and on page 3-6 it explains how to
jog in manual mode
i select jog on and the led lights
On selection of the up/down buttons or the left/right button on the keyboard i expect to see the
the DRO's changing value -- but nothing is happening
All suggestions will be gratefully appreciated
Best regards

Check your configuration to see if you have the correct keys assigned. Make sure you hit reset if it is blinking.

You assign the keyboard keys you want to use for jogging via CONFIG>SYSTEM HOTKEYS.
Select the axis, hit the key for jog movement you want to use and click OK.
Try the above,

sorry- please excuse a real dodo
Found the hot keys
am I doing this correctly because it still made no difference
select manual
make sure reset is not blinking
make sure that jog is on
select config
select hot keys
Now i select an axis on the dro on the right - say i select X axis
now the jog should surely have a forward and a backward direction
how do i select this on the hotkeys menu?
I have bought a new keyboard so i know that iot is not a keyboard error

Your not trying to use the PP on a 64bit OS are you? Are you sure the Motors are enabled in the ports and pins?
Whats the PC specs, and can you attach your XML.
