Hey Jeff,
Not much info seen on the mobo, just  663ASPRO  Rev:1.2

Anyway, I pushed the impeller off of the fan (thought for sure I would break it) but it popped apart, then I put a drop of oil on the shaft and reassembled it.
It spins now like a raped ape and the PC runs OK now.
Now that it's running, I'll make note of the info.
Thanks Jeff,

Hood, the other 2 fans I tried were 3 wire as the original, tried on the original header. Thet were all 12v but the amps were all different. Maybe that's why they wouldnt work. I didn't realise the mobo gets feedback from the fan, good I guess.
A little lube is good for lod stuff. Grin
All is good for now.
Thanks,
Russ

Hi,

Is this the manual for your mobo.

If it is, could be useful to keep a copy on hand.

Happy it was so simple and you make it work

Thanks guys, yes Jeff, that looks like it !
This is an antique lol, I expected the manual to be chiseled on a stone tablet.
Moer info there than I expected.
See the fan stuff too, amazing.
Thanks again men,
Russ

But I lost my VIC20 and my TRS80.
