Well I dont drink but this bloody wind and trying to weld Alu is close to making me contemplate seeing if it can dispense alcohol but think it will be something stronger than beer Sad

Funny you should mention fire, just sh$t myself 10 mins ago as I forgot it was alarm test day and I was just coming in the door when it was switched on, cant be certain but I think they maybe were watching me on the security camera  and waiting for me to come in Grin

Heres a pic of it without the coil fitted, need to make up a friction pade so the big roll is under tension and the front part will have to make up a PTFE nozzle as the copper contact tip it heating up and grabbing and shaving the wire at any faster than 400rpm. Also thinking of making a pressure flap that sits on the small coil so the wire is held on the coil as it gets wound as it may help stop it wanting to jump as it reaches the end.
