Mach 3 Upgrade issue - for a frustrated Aussie

Hi folks - I'm a new bloke here - upgrading my router/engraving machine with Mach 3 and hoping to get it running over the weekend!
I'm just out of Sydney, Australia - we have 240v power here - unlike the yanks with their 115v. I've wired up my Perske spindle router through a Mitibishi inverter and is running OK - only arse about - or counter clockwise.
The manual tells me I can change to clockwise by using an M code, but I don't know, can't see how to do that.
Other option is to swap the power supply wires around - but not sure thats OK to do. In USA they connect 2 115V supply wires to each terminal - here we connect 240v to one and neutral to the other - have a hunch they are the wrong way round - can anybody help - I think the M code is the way to go - if only I knew how to do it!

G'day Lance,
If your spindle is 3 phase then you will have 3 wires (not including any earth connection) running from your inverter to the spindle. Swap any two of these wires and the spindle will rotate in the other direction.

Many thanks tweakie
That sorted the problem. Something I still don't understand though - the spindle control (inverter) when operating direct it's rotating the spindle counter clockwise. In swapping the wires over as you suggested it got the spindle running clockwise from Mach 3 but the spindle control is opposite. It was doing this before I swapped the wires only it was counter clockwise from Mach 3 and clockwise from the inverter. As I'll be running it from Mach 3 it's now OK
Appreciate your help
Cheers

You didn't specify if this is three phase or not, here in the US we have more options with 110VAC. I think you are working with single phase 240 VAC from the sounds of it. Thinking that the Perske spindle motor is 3 phase, you might swap any two wires there to reverse it. In any case, M3 shouls start the spindle forwards, the regular direction, and M4 starts it in reverse. If you cant figure it out then just use M4 for now to get you by.

Lance,
All the VFD's I have used have had separate inputs for CW and CCW rotation and these are connected to separate output pins from Mach, one mapped to M3 and one to M4. This then lets the GCode specify CW or CCW operation with the M3/M4 commands.
