hi all,

I am fairly new at this and I need some help setting my zeros, I am having trouble telling mach3 where to start. When I run the program (I am using meshcam btw) the machine does not go to zero of the program...

What am I doing wrong, and what is it I should do to prevent this from happening to me??

Starwire,

There are a number of different approaches to resolving this issue and everyone has their own preferences. Unless I am misunderstanding your question, the tool zero position relating to the work has to be set manually or with a probe - from then on zero is zero so to speak.

Starwire,
You defined where zero will be in Meshcam or any other program. So you can just move your tool to that point and ref all the axis and start from there.
Now if you move away from that point and set home Mach will create an work offset and knows where to go.
