using my mill as a lathe

i am able to run my mill under the control of mach lathe but i dont understand how i can move they y axis. if i had 3 seperate tools clamped on the table how would i zerz each of these. any help would be great

Try setting tool 1 on G54 tool 2 on G55 and tool 3 on G56 then each one has its own datum point.

Do you mean you have a multiple tool holder along these lines?
I used the Tool Table screen and created tool offsets for each tool. It's a bit fiddly, but I can save and relabel the tools3.dat files.
Then all I have to do is re-zero the tool#1 which is (MUST BE) at 0,0
