Hi,
As I can see on forums, SmoothStepper doesn't support THC function on Parallel port 2.
Is there any solution if someone want smooth stepping without parallel ports?
Many new mainboards haven't good results on Drivertest.exe, I think because of the SMI function.
Regards,

You can always use a self contained THC that does its OWN z controlling. Mach thens runsGcode as a 2 axis machine.

Hi BR,
I'd like to use old THC300. Maybe I can use SS for steppers and other things, and have another Parallel port for THC function as usual?

Talk to your THC manf most should offer there stuff as a stand alone controller that runs the Z axis motors independantly from MACH . It just needs 2 outputs to tell mach ArcGood and ArcLost so mach knows when to move and stop.

Talk to TOM at CandCNC he is very well versed in THC design and operations
