Ahh.  I've had this thing hooked up  redundantly for ever...  I'll fix it and try that out tomorrow.  Wonder if it could be related to my other problem in "Losing Steps or Somthing..."  in the FAQ section?  Hmmm.  Thanks for the help. Don

Not seen your problem, dont often look at the FAQ part Sad  but it could well be related.

It didn't solve all of the problem, but it did get the pulsed direction signals fixed.  I suspect my choice of computers yeilds noisy jittery parallel port signals.  Anyway, your suggestion fixed the warnings and the smoothstepper is running the machine perfectly at this point.
