Howdy Im having some issues using the write wizard in Mach3. I fill in the boxes but it only moves fractions of an inch when I load and run the Gcode. Also the spindle doesnt turn at all. My setting are
(using a .045 end mill)
Xo 0.0
Yo 0.0
Tool N 45
Feedrate 3.0
RPM 10000
Sep +100
Height 0.15
Depth .003
All else is set to 0's.
I need to state at this point I really dont know what Im doing Im just learning as I go. So any and all help would be.... well...... helpful

I'm also a new user
I've had some problems with the gcode that write wrote.
gcode just full of zero's for movement
haven't had a chance to look at it as other work has got in the way
will be interested to hear the responce from more acomplished users
my gcode here
http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,16228.msg109709.html#msg109709
think I have answered my queery on the offsets and it should work the way written
but I dont see why its not generating a toolpath.

flemgunner,

I have just run your params through the write wizard and GCode loads and runs just fine (had to increase feedrate though).
I have no idea just what you may be doing incorrectly to cause the problem.

Sorry.  Cry

Hi

First of all, the wizard does NOT turn the spindle on or set its speed. You have to do that yourself. Me, I usually just edit the code and stick S2500 m3 in near the top.

Did you write anything in the text box? Sorry to ask, but you didn't mention this.

Did you select a font? If you don't it may not produce anything.

What does the generated g-code look like?

Cheers
