Hi,

I've just hooked up my poscope pendant to my pokey, which is configured in Mach3. Everything is the latest software version, and I can move my axes when the enable switch is pressed, but not when it isn't. I presume this is correct. However the scale switch makes no difference to any operation. I've checked that it's setting the right inputs in the PoKeys diagnostics in Mach3. Is these some trick to making this work? I've double checked the manuals (which, BTW, don't highlight all the config settings required).

Also, I've connected the pendant led to pokey pin 14, but it doesn't seem to indicate anything useful it's on even when jogging isn't enabled via the pushbutton. Is it meant to be useful? (And I've tested my previous problem both with and without pin 14 connected, not that I think that should make any difference).

Thanks in advance,
Antony Blakey

Yes, I've done all of that configuration, according to his documentation.

Yes, and the scale changes in the pendant display in Mach3, but it doesn't change the rate at which the mpg changes the axis position, which is what I thought it would do - maybe I'm just misunderstanding what the scale selector should do, but I can't see what the use of it is at the moment.

ohhhh, ok I see what your saying......

the scale change is for "Step Jog" type functions, you set your MPG jog type to Step, then when you turn the MPG, it will move what ever steps you have for that step level. Sorry, I misunderstood you....

OK, now my newb question is how do I set the MPG jog type to Step? I can see that clicking on the pendant view sets the mode, but then the MPG has no effect. My MPG has no effect on the position display unless the "Enable Switch" is pressed, and when the switch is pressed it autmatically goes to "MPG" mode. I've read the instructions but can't see anything. Am I missing something fundamental?
