all the stuff needed on the screen??

I am using the Aqua screenset... which I modified to clear it up and get rid of some unused things.  

But I was considering doing a new one based on it, and clearing up more stuff.

Just curious if a general screen set designed for the hobbyist who has a home brew CNC machine with a router thus no spindle speed or misting and or tool infol that would be of interest to anyone but me.   Not sure what all else is important to others.   I know for all the buttons/functions,   I use load gcode, edit gcode, run, pause, stop, rewind, run from, auto z zero, adjust and reset feed speed... but not much else.

Any input would be great.

oh, and occasionally use a wizard, but most of them seem like a jumbled confusing mess to me...

Since I made the Aqua set, I'll give you my take.

Make it exactly how you want. Once you start to cater to others, it'll just keep growing.

I actually only use about 10% of what I put in Aqua.

I'm currently (on and off) working on a very simplified Flash screen. I started making it for other users, but scraped that and will make it exactly how I want it. If others like it fine. If not, oh well.

And btw, a lot of people make very simple screens for their own use, so there probably would be a demand for it.

I thought about making it as I want, at least for the main screens...  Aqua has been the best I have seen so far.   Though perhaps I should just learn all the other
things mach can do as perhaps I am missing useful stuff.

Hi Arbo:
I went through the same user curve as you are going through.  I built a SimpleMill set for my own use and made it available for others.
It may well be a starting point for you to look at.  I did both a three and four axis set.  It only has two screens and I built it to do just what I was doing, nothing more.

Incidentally, it was based on ger21 Aqua Screen Set.  I used that for some time as well.

Well, I started moving around buttons and re-organizing a bit...  this is what I have so far... using the buttons from Aqua...   much more to go, including the tedious work of editing the grey away from the edges of the buttons..

Hi Arbo:
If it would help you can download my button set they are very similar and do not have any of the gray outlines.  I built all new ones when I built the screen set.

In my Aqua thread, there's a link to the Photoshop files for my buttons. Should be a lot easier to edit.
