help in setting up needed for a noob

hey guys
i am very new to all this and cant get my homemade cnc machine (with a Toshiba tb6560 and motors bought of ebay) working on mach3. i have tried to follow the video tuts but still no joy so heres what i've done.

first off the wiring for the motors black to A+, green to A-, red to B+, blue to B-, if this is wrong can you please let me know as i had to search the net to find it (the ebay seller tried to be helpful but really didn't know their wears).

second i have put all the inputs into mach3 parallel port address, Hz, motor outputs, input signals, and output signals.

i then press the RESET button in mach3 and everything goes well in Diagnostics page

i then load gcode of roadrunner and then hit CYCLE START button and everything starts on the program but nothing happens with my  motors

any help would be great please im truly stumped and have been trying to get it working for a week now

Ben,

If you have a continuity tester / meter you can identify the motor wires. Two wires are connected to one set of internal coils and two wires are connected to the other set of internal coils. Check for continuity then connect this pair to A+ / A- check for continuity and then connect the other pair to B+ / B-. It doesn't matter which way round the pair of wires go, as the direction of rotation is taken care of later in the Mach settings.

Have you got the enables set like in Fig 5 in the document?
Do the enables show as working on the diagnostics page in Mach?
Make sure your parallel port cable is a straight through cable and not a crossover.

Hmm,
Just a FWIW, I helped a young fellow out who bought a Chinese dirver similar to that and the motor pin outs were wrong in the document.
Was a PITA, but we figured it out. Lots of combinations to try ......
I will assume that is not your case.

That looks fine so only other thing I can think of is that your dont have the correct port assigned or as before your cable is not straight through.
