Hi Again,

I finally got the Probe working and actually created a some Point Clouds.  Whats next?  I see that I need to convert this information into a STL File so that it can then be reduced to G-Code.

I have looked at several programs, MeshLab, PointCloud etc., and don't really understand them well enough to know what to get and what to do with them.

Has anyone had the experience of clamping an item to the table, scanning it, converting it, and then reproducing a finished work piece, that would be willing to walk me through the process.

I realize that this subject is complex, that is why I am only looking for entry level procedures with proven results to get started with.  I can build from that knowledge.

Thanks'

Only in LazyCam where you can define a clamp and the generated code will provide for missing it, but, not scanning it , so FWIW....
off thread.
