estop does not stop mpg movement

i've got my machine moving and started hooking up a pendant mounted estop button. its configured and can be seen in the
diagnostic screen. when activated the estop will announce the status as estop but the mpg will still jog the machine.
i would think all motion should halt.
any ideas??

You need to also route the estop signal to the ABORT input on the Galil ICM.  That will do it.
