I think I may be needing to configure my CV settings, but I am not entirely sure.  Basically, I have a square drawn that I want to cut out with sharp corners.  At present I am achieving the sharp corners but the machine seems to feed into the corner, hardstop, move off perpendicularly.  This seems unnecessarily abrupt and I was thinking it might be nice if I could get mach to decelerate into the corner gradually before moving off perpendicular.

Is this possible?  or simply a foolhardy idea?

Thanks much

It sounds like you are in Exact Stop mode, this may well be because of the CV settings you have, in other words the angle is such that Mach is switching to ES for that corner.
When in ES your machine should use the acceleration (and therefore deceleration) settings that you have in motor tuning so it shouldnt feel any more abrupt than it would starting off and stopping if you did a MDI move of an axis. If you try that is it the same?
