Z axis looses SPI setting?!?!?
«

Every time Mach 3 shuts down is reloads with weird Z axis settings. I run the "set steps per inch" and tell it to move one inch and it moves 1.53125" This has been the same setting it resets to every time! I tell it how far it moved and it changes the SPI and it works GREAT, until it's shut down again. What's going on guys?

I will assume that you are using the axis calibration on the Settings.
When it moves the correct distance you are asked to save the setting, if you answer yes, it does.
Then go to motor tuning and confirm that they have been changed. Then CONFIG>Save Settings.
Go out of Mach and come back in, check the motor steps per inch......
They should be changed.....IS that the case?

Is this a demo or licensed copy?

Last I knew it was licensed. I inherited it with some parts I got from someone. I clearly remember it being a legit copy when I first set it all up, but this was two years ago. Either way I'm still just trying to get the machine running and everything learned.

Thats good, it was just the losing of settings on restart is a very common problem with the papa fabio and other pirate versions.
Your rev however is extremely old and it might be best if you update to a newer version, but thats up to you, some people like the old versions. If you do update I suggest you copy the entire Mach3 folder to a different location on your drive before you upgrade, that way if anything is lost during the upgrade then you will have a complete backup.

I see what you were getting at. I will probably upgrade at some point but as I am still trying to learn this one Is like to stay on it a while. I have downloaded the newest version to test g code on my laptop and it looks like so much is different! So is there anyway to fix my issue?
