I have some 17" LCD's I bought for a project but don't need.  They are like new, and have all cables and power cords.

The lcd is planar and the touchscreen is 3M, these are both well known suppliers for embedded and industrial pc's

They are designed to be installed in a cabinet so there is no fancy plastic frame or stand but there is a bracket that runs from the back to the sides to allow it to be front mounted.  I also have 4 black aluminum trim rings available. Basically you cut a hole, bolt the monitor to the cabinet with the 4 bolts, plug in the power, video, usb cables and it works.  If you get the trim ring you also drill holes for the trim ring to bolt on the front (you wouldn't have to cut a perfect hole if you get the trim ring).  The trim ring is dark grey anodized brushed aluminum.

They have db15 vga connection and a DVI digital video connection so they will work with any pc .

The controls are on the back but the panel with the buttons is removable and is connected with a cable so you can mount it on the enclosure if you need to change the settings frequently or turn off the monitor without turning the main power off.  The monitor automatically powers on when you plug it in so it isn't necessary.

The touch screen is USB so it's plug and play and the drivers are included on a cd.

The monitors are for indoor use so you shouldn't hose them down with coolant but they are designed for industrial/heavy repeated use, just wipe them off kinda soon if you splash something on them

I plugged one in to a Windows 7 64bit computer and it detected the touchscreen and downloaded drivers without me doing anything, I rebooted to complete the install and it worked perfect, it will definately work with any version of windows.

Linux drivers are also avaiilable

Full datasheets are available that specify the mounting locations and hardware specs. so there's no guesswork.

I got them wholesale, the list price is over $600, I am clearing out some stuff and will sell them for $120 for the lcd and $30 for a trim ring if you want it.  Shipping will be at cost, probably $15-20 anywhere in the lower 48...

I also sell on ebay and have 100% feedback, these are not currently listed but if you would rather buy through ebay I can list one for you (but the price will be a little higher to cover the ebay fees)

Thanks - Matt

I may be interested in one of these, do you have any pictures available at all and may I see a datasheet before purchasing?

Thanks,

Sure, here is the manual with all of the info, these are the LA1710RTR, it has the resistive touchscreen so it can be used with a finger or a stylus/pen

www.brokepcs.com/17inchtouchscreens/mn-LA17-020_0320_01A.pdf

I went one step further and I installed Mach3 on my pc and connected the touchscreen...  I was able to launch everything in Mach3 and press all the buttons and menu's, I didn't think it would be an issue because windows basically treats it as a mouse but just wanted to make sure...

And here are some pictures, the last one shows the thickness of the optional frames, they are aluminum and are 3/16" thick.  I didn't take pictures of the other cables but a vga, dvi, usb and power cable will all be included.

Thanks for the data sheet and the pics. Unfortunately from the data sheet, the units look sensitive to heat and cold environments so I'll have to pass on this.

I'm sure the time you took to post the pics and info will be beneficial for others interested as well.

Wish I had a nice environmentally controlled shop, but I think it fluctuates in temperature too much for this.

Thanks,
Dave

Ok, The monitor is rated for operating temps from 5c to 35c which is 41 degrees F to 95 degrees F.

I have some 19" lcd's also, same setup but bigger.  They are rated 0c to 40c or about 32 degrees F to 104 degrees F

Thanks again for the info, unfortunately my shop is allowed to heat up/cool down overnight depending on the seasons so I believe the monitor would be killed fairly quickly  Shocked

At the moment, I'm using a Barco monitor out of one of our very own USA Submarines  Grin  It's built like a tank....errrr  ummmm  sub  Cheesy

3 17" lcd's left - $110 for one, $200 for 2 (plus shipping)

I have a 4th 17" touchscreen that has a line down it when hooked to the analog vga input, i adjusted the contrast and you can't see it anymore but I'm picky about that stuff, most people wouldn't notice it. Even though you can't see it I know it has the issue so I will sell it for $65. The line doesn't show up when i hooked it to a dvi video card.

If someone wants all 4 monitors it's $340 plus shipping

2 17" bezels left - $25 each or $40 for both
