Trying to get a spindle working with a Galil 2143 controller with the ICM-20105 Board.

This is for a VFD that needs 0 to 10 volts for speed control. There is no encoder feedback.

I have a meter currently connected to the motor cmd and ground pins on the w axis to see what voltage is there (shows 0 volts when the spindle is turned on and set to any speed)

The spindle is setup in the Galil Plugin as the W axis set to servo.

The spindle is enabled in the ports and pins motor window in Mach (not sure what ports and pins need to be set to)

Not sure what the settings need to be in the spindle setup window (pwm or step direction) have tried both but no luck.

I can get 9.98 volts if use the OF command in smart terminal.

Thanks for the help,

Matt

Matt,
Setup the S axis in the plugin as the spindle instead of the W axis.
Please let me know how you make out.

Kenny

Kenny

I figured it out. I had the speed set to 0 and was trying to adjust the speed with the + and - buttons (feel pretty stupid).
