hi all-

finally joined the forum! we've been working on a home-brewed cnc vertical mill that has a work envelope comparable (or larger) to a sieg x3 that can be disassembled, can fit into a car trunk, has a total materials cost of $1000 or so, and with accuracies of +/-0.001".

we were planning on using a x2 motor/controller but may just go with their spindle and use another motor/controller and have it all run via nc. this is just a prototype for now so it's pretty rough, but promising!

we moved the "blog" section of the website that contains all the info on our homebrew cnc mill to another server and are working on getting it back online. that's why the links don't currently work. but keep clicking and it just might..
