I am starting a conversion of a Supermax mill with an Anilam crusader II control.

I connected one of the linear scales to the ICM2900 to see if it will work with Mach. I have seen the position change in smart term so I know the Galil is seeing the signal. I set-up the plugin in Mach. If I turn the handwheel mach shows a velocity while turning the handwheel but the dro does not change. I did un-check the use position box.

Any Ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric,
Make sure that the axis mapping is setup in the plugin. Yoiu need to set it even if you do not want to re-map an axis. So set x axis to x, y to y etc. Also exit and restart Mach to get everything loaded properly. Then make sure that you are wired to the primary encoders for the axes when connecting to the ICM 2900. The encoders box should be unchecked. Please call or e-mail me if you still have trouble.

Thanks for the reply Kenny,
I am pretty sure I did that but I will go check to make sure.
I know I am wired to the primary encoder, i only have an ICM 2900.

Thanks,
Off to the shop!\

Just an update for anyone who might have this problem,
It turns out I had the jumpers on for the steppers. Once I removed the jumpers the DRO worked fine.

Now to figure out the rest of the wiring to see if the axis will be stable enough while closing the loop with a linear scale.
