WOW!! great job Daniel, I was directed here from CNCzone, Those covers look fantastic, do you think you will also make Nema23 round? I would love some on my HotWire cutter. I am looking at getting some 425 0z-in steppers soon for another Machine i'm building but I fear these are 60mm type.
Cheers and great work

Daniel, I think you're going to find that more people actually have 60mm motors than nema 23 motors. However, I did just notice that keling has one larger motor, the 381 oz, that is a true nema23. KL23H2100-35-4B
And for MAM. Unfortunately, it's virtually impossible to buy new round motors today, as all new motors are square. I don't think there's much demand for them.

MAM, go to the poll and leave your votes there. The more info there the better. As of now, no plans of making round covers for NEMA23, as Gerry said doesn't look to be much demand for these.
Gerry, yes I am starting to get this feeling myself. Peter Homann also confirmed that the most used motors are 60mm frame based on what is seen on the CNCzone.

Dimensions of 60mm Frame Steppers

I would like to know the exact dimensions of the 60mm steppers and establish if there's any standard among them. I attached two sketches of the stepper body bellow and I would highly appreciate if some of you having these motors would measure their motors and post the marked dimensions.
NOTE:
this is only for
60mm square frame steppers
Please reply via PM.
Thanks,
Daniel

Any progress towards the 60mm covers? I would be interested in buying 4 of them.

Hi,
Just about finished to work on the improved design of the 57mm frame cover and should have new stock in a week if all goes as expected. Then I will have more time to work more seriously on the 60mm. I don't want to give a date, but it will take at least 5-6 weeks. Sorry, but the days are too short

Hi,
New stock of NEMA23 covers is available now at my website
www.dyengineering.com
These have a slightly improved design and there is a completely waterproof option available too.
Now the 60mm covers are in the works and soon will be available as well.
Thank you for your patience!
