Hi, I love your product, and really cool website, very professional looking .

Do you think you will in some near future make those to fit Nema 34 Motor.

I would love to put them on my machine.

Again, nice work.

Thank you Brett, Hood. Yes I will be adding other things soon. Both different variations of the cover and some other solutions for CNC and other.

Daniel - They don't fit my KL23H286-20-8B motors well, for the same reasons you noted above.  I do really think you need to make another variant for the 60mm motors, but for the KL23H286-20-8B you'll need to lengthen the "hood" so it extends beyond the wire holder this style of Keling motors have.  It directs all the wires toward the front of the motor, not out the side.
I think I am going to modify my covers to fit anyway by opening the screw holes and cutting the "hood" off completely.  They are such good-looking covers and I hate to attempt the bother of returning them to you in Israel.  I'm still debating that - return them or modify them to fit anyway.  Huh

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry to hear that Sad Gerry has asked me about the same motors and I replied him that the covers weren't suitable for these. Here is the the message:

http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,13579.msg89260.html#msg89260

There is no way to modify them to fit a 60mm square frame, unless you cut off the wire cover (I think you called it the "hood") and try to machine the mounting holes such that they align with those on your motor, but then it is a serious damage to the cover and I am not sure as to the look of it then.

You may try to modify the way the wires come out of your motor - try soldering them directly instead of using that terminal. But again the "hood" would interfere with the motor side and you won't be able to align the mounting holes.

I think all the above is too complicated and the results are not very promising, so I think it is better for you to return them and I will issue you a full refund less the shipping.

Let me know what you decide.

Thanks,
Daniel

Actually, those are not the same motors.

I just looked at Keling's site, and it appears that all their so called Nema 23 motors, larger than 282 oz, are 60mm.

You might want to make a note of this on your website, as the 60mm motors from Keling are the most commonly used. Especially among G540 users.

Gerry,

I meant they were the same frame size. Aren't they?

Thanks for the suggestion, just put a note on my website that the covers don't fit 60mm frame size steppers.

as the 60mm motors from Keling are the most commonly used. Especially among G540 users.

Didn't realize this. Can't tell it from the poll results...

Yes, they are the same frame size.

I have a feeling that most users of these motors have no idea that they are 60mm motors, and NOT standard Nema23.

I think you may be right about this, Gerry, since Keling is selling them as NEMA23. Don't know what I can do about it... Huh

Just point out on your site that end users should measure ALL keling nema 23's over 282oz-in to make sure they are not 60mm motors.
