Hi - been a while since I played with any of the alternative screens - steelblue, benny's etc. All worked pretty well previously but now they all have the same problem. When I hit a button it goes blank - i.e. just a black rectangle where the button was. A screen minimise and restore recovers the graphic. Any ideas? (only the original 1024 set works fine)

Thanks

Ian

Hey Ian, glad to see your back. Hope you are doing well.

Sounds like the directory the button image is pointing to may be missing. Can open the screen in Machscreen or screen 4 and check the path of the image. They may also be two state buttons. A button or led over a led or button.

Hi Brett - good to hear from you and thanks - getting there.

Checked dirs - all as it should be. Thing is - on the steelblue set for example - all the buttons have no bitmaps, they're intended to be just transparant "hit sites" if you like - with the button graphic just being part of the background. It seems what's happening is that when you hit a button - it goes black - whereas before it used to stay transparant. I've included some pics. The first is from Machscreen. The second in Mach before hitting the button. The third from Mach after you hit the button. As I say - this example is steelblue but its the same for every set I've tried except 1024.

I occasionally see buttons going blank or getting "stuck". My guess is that it's just a display bug in Mach3. I don't see it very often, so it's not a big deal to me. But if it's repeatable for you, then I don't have an answer. Perhaps update video drivers?

Turns out its down to my anti spyware. Allowing mach through solves the problem - I'm assuming mach isn't up to any mischief  Smiley
