battwell,
the connectors are avalable from Newark/Farnell or Mouser here in the States. The 100 pin connectors are insulation displacement style intended for ribbon cable or round/ribbon conversions and are extremely difficult to use. I suggest getting a male PCB version and soldering it to a breadboard, or use one of the cheap PCB services to make your own interconnect, which will save lots of money.

Did a search on Farnell UK. Search for 101A0. I found that they have 67 in stock at about 9 pounds each. They also had the metal backshells available. The connectors are intended for 26 gauge wire.

I like them !!! A great savings indeed. Think that I'll get some to try too.

what do you use to tune servos? i cant get galiltools to recognise the 1750 card? recognises straight away in smarterm.
quite happy to buy galiltools if i can get it to recognise card.
didnt particularly want to spend lots of bucks on wsdk only, unless someone wanted to make me a donation of it.

I'm only an hour from them. I'll give them a call tomorrow and get details. Send me a PM with your particulars/address.

I use Smartterm. Stay away from Galiltools for now. I have used WSDK, but for what we are doing, I find it unnecessary. I just start out with the default gains and keep on increasing until I get ringing, then back off a bit.

If you cant find a reasonably priced breakout box, have you though about adapting it to something else?

A CB-1500-100 is $50 from galil:

interesting! hadnt seen them on galil site. i still have to get cable anyway.
thanks again  kcrouch for helping with the almost purchased non compatible cables,

il get the right ones from galil eventually once ive confirmed and prototype tested a few things on my machine
just didnt want to spend lots in the test stage.

time galil had an ebay shop so i could order easy and pay with my paypal account. im sure they would have a lot of excess stock kicking around.
